Getting back to the Basics

So I was reading in 2 Kings the other morning and the Lord definately revealed some amazing things.  Here we are dealing with the prophet Elisha and the different acts that the Lord allowed him to do through prayer and petition.  First, an axe head was made to float after it was broken off.  Second, Israel was facing war with the Arameans and Elisha prayed to the Lord to strike them with blindness to avoid the attack of the city.  Third, the Lord kept Israel from another attack by the Arameans by causing them to hear the sound for a large army.  All of these things happened with petition and prayer to the Lord.

So often I find that I am not asking the Lord for things that are necessary.  Is this an showing of little faith...maybe.  This section of scripture has 3 different stories of the Lord answering prayers of the needs of His people.  Why do I so often not show enough faith to ask the Lord for me necessities.  I need to ask Him for my needs, and know that He can and will answer.

I know this is a simple post and some simple thoughts, but I think we so often lose sight of the basics of our relationship with Christ.  The Lord will provide for our needs as we seek Him in prayer.

What's up folks.  This here will be my first ever Xanga post.  How could this be...you ask?  Well I have a wonderful friend who decided to create this site for me, for whatever reason that I do not understand.  So...life right now.  I am just waiting anxioujsly to hear about my application for staff w/ Cru.  Other than that, I am just excited for graduation.

Coming even sooner, is Spring break, where I will be heading with many others down to N'awlins.  And lets just say, Sathish is kinda excited.  It will be quite a week I am sure.

If I haven't bragged to you yet.  I have the awesome opportunity to go on a cruise in May, with my amazing friends big Matt, Tank Wilson, and Greg Ingram.  We are gonna have such an amazing time on our way to Bermuda.  And if you are wondering how someone going into full-time missions can afford this.  Lets just say God provides in the strangest of ways, and I am going to suck up my stubborn pride and bask in this amazing opportunity.

This past Sunday, was my last tennis class taught for this session.  And my students definately told me that I was "the best teacher they have ever had".  And it was totally unprompted.  It totally was one of the best compliments I have received in a long time.  It totally lifted me up.

So...thats life for now.  Stay tuned for more....but it may not be me writing always.

Most did not know that I am an Indian prince.  I guess its because nobody's seen me in my royal garmets.  So for my birthday I decided it would be fun to wear them again.  Here is a shot of that.

Hope you all are having a wonderful day.
